Love animals? Well I’ll promise you that you will fall in love with alpacas after joining us for a walk. Our adorable boys are extremely friendly and love people. Take a walk in the gorgeous Weardale countryside with a lovely companion to join you. To learn more, simply browse through our site.
How We Got Our Start
We started our dream of owning alpacas at the start of the first pandemic lockdown when we were furloughed and realised what we were currently doing wasn’t fulfilling us. We have always been animal lovers and one day my dad brought up how alpaca trekking was growing in popularity. It was like something clicked! After lots of research, visiting alpaca farms, and learning all about these amazing animals we took the plunge and got some of our own! We have a lovely small herd of 12 boys who love to go on walks and get lots of attention (along with some carrots🥕)!
ALPACA WALK & TALKS
Alpaca walk & talk (approx. 1 hour):
£30 pp
Anyone joining on the walk without an alpaca:
£5pp
Alpaca meet & greet (approx. 30 min):
£15pp
Minimum age of 10 to walk an alpaca on their own. Under 10s can walk with an adult accompanying to help lead the alpaca. It is £5 for anyone accompanying. Walk is not suitable for anyone 5 years old or younger.
Meet and greet suitable for all ages.
Everyone will choose an alpaca to walk around our property located in Weardale (AONB). We will share facts and answer any questions you may have throughout the walk. We also will stop along the walk at some of the boys favourite snack spots. 🌾 At the end of the walk we will hand out some carrots treats and everyone can have some cuddles and selfies with all the boys!🥕
Please wear suitable footwear (I.e. walking shoes/boots)

What happens on the walk?
1. Have a briefing on what will happen during the walk and how to safely hold the rope and handle alpacas.
2. Everyone picks an alpaca and we will get them haltered up ready for the walk.
3. Let the fun begin! We will start on our gentle walk through our property with some lovely companions 🦙

When do we have walks available?
We do 2 walks a day most days of the week. Our walks are at 11am and 2pm, give us a call or email and see if we have availability for the day you would like!
